“Success comes to those who dedicate everything to their passion in life. To be successful, it is also very important to be humble and never let fame or money travel to your head.”

I knew there was something special about Carmelo Patti in the first five seconds of meeting him. He will have met thousands of people like me over the years, coming from all over the world, however, his greeting was one of those that made you feel like an old time friend, and that his home was your home.
The hour that we had with him wasn’t just a winery experience for us, it was more like a life lesson. He describes his life and winemaking process with soo much passion that you leave the bodega not only with a pleasant pallet, but totally inspired and motivated. The Sicilian-born organic winemaker has almost single-handedly built his winery in the Lujan de Cuyo region of Mendoza, and his wine has become famous throughout the world mostly by word-of-mouth. A true legend of Mendoza and the country, this winery and brilliant human being is not to be missed when you visit this beautiful part of the world.
Did you know? Resveratol, found in the skin of red grapes, is a polyphenol that has antioxidant properties. Studies have indicated that resveratol has plenty of health benefits, including protecting blood vessels from damage, reducing blood LDL-cholesterol and preventing blood clots. Drinking red wine, in moderation, could therefore potentially be quite good for your overall health.
My recommendation: If you like to drink red wine and you are on no medicines that interact with alcohol, limit it to a single glass with your evening meal per day.
